Lehighton, Northern Lehigh and Pleasant Valley all rolled to wrestling victories on Wednesday.

WRESTLING

Schuy. Haven-Jim Thorpe

The Olympians won three of four bouts wrestled, but still dropped a 33-27 Schuylkill League match to the Hurricanes.

Justin Mazzella, Dale Wakefield and Tyler Mangold all picked up victories for Jim Thorpe, while Brian Ohl and James Denny grabbed victories by forfeit.

Northern Lehigh dropped Catasauqua for a 46-23 Colonial League setback thanks to the support of five pins on the night.

The Bulldogs' Connor Hedash (119), Nikko Stevens (140), Dylan Hofmann (145), Zach Fleming (160) and Colin Hedash (189) all scored takedown in the victory.

Hofmann needed only 28-seconds to drop his Roughies' opponent, while Stevens, Fleming and Colin Hedash all recorded first period pins.

The Bulldogs' Chris Christ chipped in with a tech fall at 135.

The Bears' Samantha Klingel (103), Mike Dahlstrom (119), Alex Yanovich (125), Jordan Toledo (130), Jake Chamberlain (145), Ryan Sokolowski (152) and Cameron Kromelbein (189) all dropped their Panther opponents for pins.

Ernest Klingel added a 17-0 technical fall at 112 for PV.

Justine Hook's 21-point performance highlighted Columbia Montour Vo-Tech's 44-29 non-league victory over Panther Valley.

Hook scored 12 of her game-high 21 in the first half to help propel CMVT to a 30-18 halftime lead and they never looked back.

Dana McFadden paced the Panthers with a team-high 12 points.

Tamaqua-Weatherly

Tamaqua overcame an eight-point halftime deficit to defeat Weatherly, 44-36.

Tanner Kehl had a huge game with 23 points for the Blue Raiders (6-7). Brett Kelly had 17 points for the Wreckers.

8TH GRADE

Tamaqua-Weatherly

Tamaqua beat Weatherly, 41-35.

The Raiders were led by Mike Weinert who scored 10 points. The Wreckers Luke Reiner led all scorers with 16 points. Nick Miller added 13.
