A 'tree-mendous' recycling effort

Frank Klock, naturalist with the Carbon County Environmental Center, tosses discarded Christmas tree onto a pile of other trees. The environmental center along Lentz Trail in Summit Hill uses the trees for habitat and mulch. Individuals can take trees to the center, but they should be free of tinsel and garland. A lot more trees will be brought there, since Summit Hill Borough Council agreed to pick up trees from residents' of the community on their trash collection days - Jan. 12, 13, 19, and 20.
