Lower Towamensing crash injures two

Gun Club Road in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County was closed Sunday morning after a person driving a sport utility vehicle lost control on a ice covered roadway. The unit came to rest broadside across the roadway just west of Route 248. One adult and a child were escorted to an awaiting Palmerton ambulance. The Aquashicola Fire Company responded shutting down the roadway. Lehighton State police are investigating the incident.
