Two persons were injured, an adult and a six year old child, in this crash Sunday morning along Long Run Road in Franklin Township, Carbon County. A Chevrolet Blazer operated by Katherine Jane Doran, 55, of Jim Thorpe, spun out on an ice covered roadway. When a second vehicle came across the scene the female driver of her sport utility vehicle attempted to take evasive action but crashed into a nearby pickup truck instead. The two injured persons were identifed as Anthony Michael Doran, 55, and the six-year-old. No other injuries were reported in the incident. Lehighton paramedics treated the two at the scene and transported them to a nearby hospital. The Franklin Township Fire Company responded shutting down the roadway and assisted in removing the injured on the ice covered roadway. State police at Lehighton investigated the incident.
