Woman escapes injury in crash
A West Penn Township woman escaped injury this morning after her car struck a utility pole and rolled onto its side. Diane Schock, of Sycamore Lane, was operating her car westbound on Sycamore just east of Archery Club Road when she apparently lost control. Her car crossed over to the left berm where it impacted with and snapped off a utility pole. Her car then rolled onto its left side trapping Schock inside. She was trapped in the car until freed by township police and members of the West Penn Fire Company No. 1. Schock refused medical treatment at the scene. Schock was enroute to the Tamaqua Area School District where she is a substitute teacher.
