Grant helps community recreation

Lehighton Walmart store manager Girvin Janicki presented two $1,000 Walmart Good Works community grants to two organizations that support community recreation and tourism. Awarded funds were the Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor Commission and the Walnutport Canal Assocation. Freudenberger said the funds will be used to purchase tools for Trail Tender volunteers to use while maintaining trails. Kauls said the funds will be used to maintain the locktender's house.
