Accused West Penn sex offender turns himself in, is arraigned
An accused sex offender wanted by Rush Township police turned himself in to the Tamaqua District Judge's office on Monday afternoon.
At approximately 2 p.m., Christopher Hill, 22, of West Penn Township, turned himself in at DJ Stephen Bayer's office.
Hill is wanted on felony charges of statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a 12 year-old and is also facing other charges.
Hill was arraigned on the felony warrant. Following his arraignment, Hill is free after posting 10 percent of the $50,000 bail set by Bayer.
