Nancy E. Gardiner of Coaldale, and Richard "Rick" D. Ehrenfried of Weatherly were married in a candlelight service on Nov. 28, 2009, at First Congregational Church in Coaldale. The Rev. Dr. Wayne Benack officiated the double ring ceremony.

Edward Gogal was the organist, while Brandi Strauch was the vocalist.

Given in marriage by her brother-in-law Louis Lisella of Mahoning Valley and friend Danny Sugden of Coaldale, the bride chose her daughter, Stephanie Gardiner-Walsh of Winston-Salem, N.C., as the matron of honor.

Gary Kelshaw of Jim Thorpe, served as best man. Ushers were Timothy Walsh of Winston-Salem, the bride's son-in-law; and James Markovchick of Weatherly, the bridegroom's cousin.

Nancy Markovchick, Weatherly, cousin of the bridegroom, read the scriptures. Acolytes were Courtney Lazar, Summit Hill, the bride's niece; and Kristyn Gates, Lansford.

Following the ceremony, the couple welcomed family and friends to a reception at Pine View Acres in Pottsville. They then honeymooned on a Mediterranean cruise to Malta, Cyprus, Egypt and Greece.

A pre-nuptial party was given to the couple at the church for the rehearsal.

The newlyweds reside in Weatherly.
