Wacky hair (fund) raising event results in donation to Palmerton Area Library

It was a celebration of Read Across America all week long at Towamensing Elementary School with many fun activities. One such activity was to come to school with Wacky Hair and Costumes. Students and staff could pay for the privilege to come to school with wacky hairdos and costumes from books or to just give a donation. The 6th grade Student Council collected $71.63 which they donated to the Palmerton Area Library. The library director, Diane Danielson, accepted the money and told representatives, left to right, Brock Moyer, Kendra Pekurny, Brianna Doherty, Jackie Tracy, Tyler Butz and Brianna Caravello, "Thank you, thank you, thank you. And please come to the library."
