An egg-sorbing experience
Helen Mackes and Michelle Kuehner watch Jody Obena of Palmerton begin a Pysanky egg at the Eldred Township Historical Society. Jody is using the age-old method of transfering melted wax to the surface of an egg with a copper and wood kistka. The ladies were fascinated and in awe of the artistic talents of Obena, who is working on her second level master's. She has been honored to have her eggs featured at local galleries and demonstrates egg art at Quiet Valley Historical Farm.
