Early Thursday morning the Tamaqua Fire Department responded to another false alarm set off by someone pulling the alarm box located at the intersection of Biddle and N. Greenwood sts. Neighbors in the area stated this happens every year about the same time. Somebody pulls the box like clockwork every year. Another neighbor mentioned that this will continue through July as it does every year. He continued by saying, "People need to be more vigilant and watchful for people like this. These poor volunteer firefighters have to get up, get dressed, and arrive on scene. These idiots that keep pulling these alarm boxes don't realize that." Pictured inspecting a fire alarm box are Tamaqua Police Officer Matt Bynon, left, and East End Fire Company Chief Mark Boyle.
