Kate Wendling of Summit Hill became the bride of Robert Booth of Libberton, Scotland, during a New Year's Eve ceremony on Dec. 31, 2009 at the Mauch Chunk Museum Ballroom in Jim Thorpe.
Officiating at the ceremony was Paul McArdle, mayor of Summit Hill.
The bride is the daughter of Lauren and Ron Gower of Summit Hill, and Frank and Barbara Wendling of Kent, Ohio.
Given in marriage by her mother, the bride chose her sister, Stephanie Black of Lake Hauto, as her matron of honor.
The bridegroom is the son of Michael and Maureen Booth of Libberton, Scotland.
He chose Ross Hughes of Dollar, Scotland, as his best man.
The bride's nephew, Tyler Black of Lake Hauto, was the ring bearer.
A reception in the ballroom followed the ceremony.
The newlyweds will be residing in Scotland.
