Heritage Hill man celebrates 92 years

Harry E. Smith, a resident of Heritage Hill Senior Community in Weatherly, celebrated his 92nd birthday on June 2.

Born in Whitehall in 1918, Harry worked as a truck driver for Reeves Parvin. He also worked as a maintenance man at Western Electric until his retirement.

Harry was married to his wife, Ruth, for 58 years until her passing.

He has two children, Richard Smith of West Catasauqua, and Lucille Raczkowski of Jim Thorpe.

He also has two stepchildren, Sandy Kulpa of Jim Thorpe, and Carl Wieder, who is deceased.

Harry is the proud grandfather of 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.

Harry was active in the West Catasauqua Fire Co., where he bartended; and also in the Bowling Club.

His passions include hunting, fishing and baseball.
