Lehighton woman exhibits at Cazenovia College Art Gallery
The Cazenovia College Art Gallery in Reisman Hall, Cazenovia, N.Y. continues student exhibitions with an exhibit by four seniors from Monday, April 12 through Thursday, April 15, with a reception on Monday, April 12 from 4:30-6 p.m. in the gallery.
Sarah Miller, of Lehighton, is a senior in the studio art program specializing in photography. Her Senior 'Thesis' Exhibition is titled "Family and Farming."
"Living on a farm has shaped the way I think about life," Miller says of her work.
"Farm life mystifies many people. I am demystifying farm life by showing what really happens on a farm the little and the big moments.
"I use a large format camera to capture intimate portraits of the family. I catch the faster moments, such as feeding and administering medications, with a 35mm camera. I explore myself through documenting what I have lived."
Miller will share the spotlight with Hannah Morse, Hank Church and Katherine Wood.
The Cazenovia College Art Gallery in Reisman Hall is on the corner of Sullivan and Seminary streets in Cazenovia.
Hours during the academic year are: Monday through Thursday, 1-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.; Friday, 1-4 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday, 2-6 p.m. Summer hours vary.
