At about 5 a.m. Sunday morning, emergency responders responded quickly to a smoke call at a home at 161 Owl Creek Road in Tamaqua. When they arrived, they noticed the home wasn't filled with smoke, but rather completely filled with steam from a ruptured hot water line. A resident of the property, Dennis Miller, was transported via Tamaqua Ambulance to the St Luke's Hospital in Coaldale. His condition was not known as of press time. No other injuries were noted.
