Woman, child escape injury

A young woman and an infant escaped injury Sunday afternoon when involved in a crash along the west bound lanes of Route 248. The incident occurred just after 1 p.m. The driver apparently lost control with the sport utility vehicle leaving the right berm impacting with a tree. Responding was the Aquashicola Fire Company. State police at Lehighton are investigating the incident.
