Theft incidents probed by troopers
State police at Lehighton reported on several theft incidents investigated by troopers in recent days.
Bruce Hawk, of Hawk Trucking, 5098 Silver Spring Blvd., in Kunkletown, Eldred Township, Monroe County, reported someone removed several batteries from various vehicles parked at the above location. The batteries are valued at $500. The incident occurred sometime between Wednesday, Jan. 6, at 7:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. on Thursday.
Lynn Gail Witt, 47, of Box 424, Kunkletown, Eldred Township, reported her purse was removed from the kitchen area of her home and then her 2004 Mitsubishi Outlander was taken from the driveway. The incident occurred sometime between 2 and 4:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 7.
Christopher J. Boller, 27, of Flemington, N.J., reported his Jeep Wrangler was entered while parked in the upper lodge parking lot of the Blue Mountain Ski Area, in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County, sometime between 3 and 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 6. Removed from the car was a Kahr 9mm handgun and a Garmin GPS unit. Total estimated value of the missing items was set at $1,000.
