Police seeking help with robbery

Monroe County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest in an armed robbery that took place at 6:20 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009, with funds from Brodheadsville McDonald's Restaurant.

The night manager was approaching the night deposit box with two clear plastic McDonald's bags at ESSA bank on SR209, Brodheadsville, when two males emerged from the shrubs. One male produced a handgun and demanded the money. The manager complied and the actors fled on foot toward the Monroe Plaza.

The first suspect is a white male, about 18 to 23 years old, with a stocky build, five-feet six-inches to five-feet seven-inches tall and the second suspect is a black male, 18 to 21 years old, and five-feet seven-inches to five-feet eight-inches tall.

Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to contact Monroe County Crime Stoppers at 1 (866) 370-1518. Callers could be eligible for cash rewards and callers may remain anonymous.
