Published January 15. 2010 05:00PM

A Schuylkill County teen, who previously entered a guilty plea to the rape of a child, was sentenced to a long state prison term in Schuylkill County court this week.

Anthony Wade Bryant, 19, of Pottsville, was sentenced by Judge Jacqueline Russell to serve 10 to 20 years in a state correctional institution with credit for serving 130 days in the county prison.

He also was ordered to partciipate in the state's program of counseling or therapy for sex offenders and comply with the required treatment and counseling.

He also must provide 100 hours of community service when released on probation and shall have no contact of any nature with the victim.

Since he was evaluated as a sexual predator by the state sexual assessment board, the court advised him of his life-time reporting duties pursuant to Megan's Law provisions.
