Indian River Art Guild exhibits in Jim Thorpe this weekend

Several established and emerging artists will have their work showcased this weekend at an exhibit in Jim Thorpe.
On Friday and Saturday, June 25-26, from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m., the public is invited to view the work of members of the Indian River Art Guild at the Albright Mansion Restaurant, 66 Broadway, in the eatery's air-conditioned Rose Room, located on the second floor. Visitors do not need to patronize the restaurant to view the exhibit.
Participating in the exhibit will be Alessandra Crum, who recently had a show in Birmingham, Ala. She will have some of her oils on display. Elda Walsh, who is a graphic artist and Web designer, has studied and painted for years. Her artwork is displayed commercially. She will be featuring some of her acrylics.
Sculptor and photographer Adam Sobas, who recently enjoyed a substantial sale of one of his sculptures, will be showing some of his work, as will Ron Chupp, who owns The Black Diamond Gallery in Jim Thorpe. Chupp will be displaying some of his oil paintings.
The exhibit will also feature two newcomers to the guild Nicole Weaver, a photographer from Lehighton; and Paul Zdzairski, a fine arts painter from Morris Plains, New Jersey.
The Indian River Art Guild promotes art events to encourage unity in working artists and to help them network and collaborate with other artists on similar projects. While engaging in raising community awareness by fundraising for victims of abuse, disaster, disease, hunger, and other needs, the guild also supports missionaries and our troops with a part of its proceeds.
The guild is a 501(c)(3) non profit, and members of the C.C.C. of C., the Lehigh Valley Art Council, and the Mt. Pocono Arts Council. Members take trips and give art classes to all ages.
