Rear-end type crash in Thorpe

Jim Thorpe police reported investigating a rear-end type crash on Monday, Jan. 18, about 1:45 p.m. along SR209 on the inner borough bridge.

Police said a vehicle operated by Amanda Petaccio, of Albrightsville, ran into the rear of a vehicle driven by Harry Schultz, of Jim Thorpe, pushing it into the rear of a vehicle operated by Debbie Brabec, also of Jim Thorpe. A passenger with Schultz, not named by police, was taken to the Blue Mountain Health Systems Gnaden Huetten Campus, Lehighton, for treatment of an injury.

The investigation into the crash is continuing with charges pending, police said. Police were assisted at the scene by Jim Thorpe Fire Department volunteers.
