Jim Thorpe couple wed 25 years

Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Haggerty of Jim Thorpe recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. They were married May 11, 1985 at St. John's Lutheran Church, North Street, Jim Thorpe. The Rev. Swavely was the officiating minister.

Mrs. Haggerty is the former JoAnn Highland, daughter of Elmer Highland and the late Ann Highland. She is a special-education teacher at the L.B. Morris Elementary School in Jim Thorpe.

Mr. Haggerty is the son of Marjorie Haggerty and the late Gerald Haggerty Sr. He is the postmaster in Summit Hill.

The couple has a 14-year-old son, Alex.
