Break-in, theft incidents probed
State police at Fern Ridge are investigating a burglary, two theft incidents and a act of criminal mischief.
The break-in occurred at a residence along West Cherokee Trail in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County. The home was entered and lengths of copper pipe were stolen. The incident occurred sometime between Jan. 19-27. The home is owned by a unidentified female from Bangor.
Troopers said six, 20-pound gas tanks were removed from outside the Sunoco Service Station located along SR209 in Brodheadsville, Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County. The theft occurred sometime between Jan. 22 at 11 p.m. and Jan. 23 at 7 p.m.
Three tires and rims were removed from a 2000 Dodge Dakota pickup truck parked at 1 Pilgrim Way, Chestnuthill Township, sometime overnight of Jan. 25-26. The owner of the truck was not identified by troopers.
Thomas Gill, 50, of State St., East Side Boro, Carbon County, had two vehicles damaged while parked in his driveway. The incident occurred sometime between Jan. 18-25.
