Tamaqua couple wed 50 years
Mr. and Mrs. Chester Frantz on their wedding day.
Mildred and Chester Frantz of Tamaqua are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today.
They were married on May 20, 1950 at St. John's Church in Howertown by the Rev. George Laubach.
Mrs. Frantz is the daughter of the late Edwin and Anna Kosman.
Mr. Frantz is the son of the late Grover and Josephine Frantz.
They have three children: Joanne Gordan and her husband, David, of Youngstown, Ohio; Lynn Warkala, and her husband, Greg, of Lehighton; and Richard Frantz, and his wife, Louise.
The couple has seven grandchildren: Danny, David, Samantha, Mariah, Michael, Kaitlyn and Sarah.
