Bike rider charged with DUI

A Brodheadsville man has been charged with driving under the influence - on a bicycle.

Justin Dawson, 27, was stopped while riding his bike at 1:57 a.m. Thursday near the Burger King restaurant on Route 209 by state Trooper Michael A. Walsh of the Lehighton barracks. Walsh found Dawson had been drinking. Dawson resisted arrest, but was subdued. He was charged with driving under the influence and resisting arrest.
