Mischief incidents probed in Tamaqua
Tamaqua police are investigating two apparent acts of criminal mischief reported to the department this week.
Harold Trevorah, of Arlington St., told police someone entered a vacant property at 163 Penn St., owned by Trevorah, and proceeded to smash holes in the walls, break doors and cause considerable damage. Entry was apparently made by smashing through a shared wall with 161 Penn St.
The property was last known to be secure on Jan. 27.
Ronald Stellfox, of East Broad St., contacted police on Tuesday after discovering damage to his motor home which was parked on a private lot near Hunter and Orwigsburg streets. Two windows in the trailer were smashed but it appeared that vandals did not gain entry to the vehicle.
Anyone with information concerning either incident is asked to call police at (570) 668-6100.
