Slatington police report DUI arrests

Slatington police reported on two driving under the influence (DUI) arrests.

Police said on Feb. 19 about 1:12 a.m. officers stopped a vehicle in the area of 668 W. Franklin St. As a result of an invesitgation police have charged Reggie Lee Grimes, 31, of 825 Washington St., Walnutport, with DUI and careless driving.

ON Feb. 25 officers observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed in the 1100 block of Main St. abouat 1:37 a.m. A stop was made and the driver identified as Thomas Erzak, 21, of 5171 Front St., Whitehall. He was found to be under the influence and a test revealed a .16BAC. He was also charged with reckless driving, careless driving and obediance to traffic control devices.
