Divorces granted
Ann M. Hughes, 221 Hunter St., Tamaqua, was granted a divorce from Thomas J. Hughes, 418 Rolling Mill Avenue, Tamaqua. They were married March 3, 2001.
Jennifer M. Keich, 10 Laurelwood St., Tamaqua, was granted a divorce from David C. Keich, same address. They were married June 18, 2004.
Beverly Fish, Minersville, was granted a divorce from Brooke Fish, Northampton. They were married May 24, 1986.
Erica C. Somers was granted a divorce from Matthew A. Somers, both of Pine Grove. They were married May 27, 2006.
Jennifer Marie Kline, Bethel, was granted a divorce from Robert Charles Kline, Pottsville. They were married Oct. 22, 2005.
Appeal hearings
Frank J. Uholik Jr., 28, Shenandoah, failed to appear at his appeal hearing so the court upheld the verdict rendered by the district judge which found Uholik guilty of a charge of driving while his operating privileges were suspended and he was fined $200 plus $95 costs. Uholik was cited by Patrolman Jamie R. Gennarini, Shenandoah police, when stopped in the 100 block on S. Main St., on Nov. 27, 2008.
Jesse Joe Gomez, 33, Shenandoah, won his appeal as the court found him not guilty of a charge of speeding as charged by Patrolman Robert M. Senape, West Mahanoy Township police, on Nov. 31, 2009, when stopped on SR924.
Stadium Dirt Designs Inc., of Elysburg, won its appeal as the court found it not guilty of permitting one of its vehicles to be operated after the registration had expired when it was cited while parked in a lot on Main Street, Gilberton.
Jacob Searfoss, 18, Shenandoah Heights, lost his appeal as the court found him guilty of operating his vehicle without carrying car insurance and the fine and cost of $1,797.26 imposed by a district judge stands. Searfoss was cited by Patrolman Joseph W. Hall, when stopped on March 3, 2009, on Stadium Road, West Mahanoy Township.
Crystal S. Luscan, 37, Shenandoah, was found not guilty of playing her television at an extreme loud volume as complained by neighbors.
Tonya Lynn Lewis, 38, Marksville, La., lost her appeal from being found guilty of failing to obey a flashing signal on Interstate 81 in Mahanoy Township last Oct. 21, 2009, as charged by Trooper Thomas I. Maley. A fine of $25 plus $50 costs stands.
