Building inspected in Nesquehoning

Nesquehoning Police Chief Sean Smith and Carl Faust, building inspector, reported that an inspection was conducted at 127 W. Catawissa St. for uniform construction violations.

Present at the inspection was the building owner, Hugh Lawrence. There were multiple violations with the building including no fire alarm system. Smith said follow-up inspections will be conducted to see if the building is brought up to code or the owner will be cited and the building can also be condemned.

In a unrelated matter, Smith said he filed two non-traffic citations for borough code violations. On Feb. 3 charges were filed against Katelyn Roth and Andre Morales for no moving permits. The owner of the building, Lawrence, was warned if there are any more violations he will be cited as well.
