Crash leads to DUI charge
A one-vehicle crash along a Schuylkill County roadway has led to a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) pending against the driver.
State police at Schuylkill Haven said Janel Sonja Mengel, 30, of 99 E. Mill St., Pine Grove, was driving along Pleasant Hill Road at Birds Hill Road, in Washington Township, about 2:20 a.m. on Monday, March 1, when her car left the road and struck a tree.
She will be charged with DUI, troopers said.
