Carbon crash

State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating a two-vehicle crash about 2:39 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 5, at the intersection of Old Stage Road and Penn Forest Trail, in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County.

Troopers said Catherine Cintron, 34, of Albrightsville, was stopped on Penn Forest Trail waiting to turn left while Rebecca Kirk, 17, of Jim Thorpe, was southbound on Old Stage Road.

Troopers said Cintron pulled out and struck Kirk's 2007 Ford Escape causing it to go onto the shoulder and collide into a tree.

Kirk sustained a minor injury in the crash while Cintron was not hurt.
