Retail theft arrests in Schuylkill

State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on two retail theft arrests made by troopers at two Schuylkill County businesses, both occurring on Thursday, March 4.

Troopers said at 2:35 p.m. Dennis Thomas Cooney, 34, of Shenandoah, was cited for an incident at Lowe's store in East Norwegian Township. He was charged with attempting to remove a Dewalt nail gun valued at $189 without paying for it.

Joseph Allen Spino, 44, of Allentown, was cited at Redner's Warehouse store in North Manheim Township, about 3:57 p.m. He attempted to remove five packets of Kool Aid from the store by concealing them in his jacket.
