Monroe driver facing DUI count

A Monroe County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident that occurred about 2:40 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 23.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said officers conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of the Kmart store in Mt. Pocono for motor vehicle code violations. The driver was identified as Zulleaka Ford, 29, of Tobyhanna. She was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. She was then transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, wrhe she submitted to a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results. Other charges are also pending, police added.
