Adult day care
The Tamaqua Area Adult Day Care Center is seeking volunteers to serve on its board of directors. The board meets one evening per month. Anyone interested in serving on the board of directors may call (570) 668-6556.
Activities planned for the month of March include: March 3, foor doctor visit; March 8, craft day; March 10, special breakfast; March 11, guest speaker from Independent Living Services; March 15, cooking class; March 17, St. Patrick's Day celebration; March 23, monthly birthday party; March 24, Spring cook out and sing-along with Audrey Christ; March 29, visit with St. Jerome's kindergarten class.
In addition to weekly sing-alongs and social games, hairstyling and manicure services are available. Both require advance notice.
Daily activities include exercise, reality orientation, remotivational and reminiscent therapy, as well as breakfast, lunch and a snack.

Class of 2010
The Decorating Committee for the Parents of the Tamaqua Class of 2010 meets every Monday, at 7 p.m., on the third floor of the Tamaqua Elks, 301 W. Broad St. Members continue working on decorations for the annual All Night Party.
SS. Peter and Paul
Stations of the Cross will be held each Wednesday during Lent, at 7 p.m., in SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Stations will be preceded by a holy hour and the hearing of confessions, starting at 6 p.m.
Additionally, a holy hour and confessions will be held each Saturday from 4 to 5 p.m.
Schuylkill Democrats
The Eastern Schuylkill Democrats will meet today, at 7:30 p.m., at the East End Fire Company.
