Parked car smashed by hit, run driver

Lansford police are looking for the person who struck a parked car between Feb. 28 and March 1, then feld.

Karen Mantz of 533 E. Patterson street told police her car was struck, denting and crunching up the hood, smashing the front grill and scuffing up the front bumper, according to a report released by borough police.

it appears that a vehicle had been parked in front of Mantz' car and had backed up into it, the report said.

Mantz told police she parked her car in front of her home/business at about 9:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 28, and discovered the damage at about 9 a.m. March 1.
