Two arrested on criminal warrants
Two Schuylkill County residents were arrested on outstanding criminal warrants in separate incidents.
State police at Frackville said on Monday, March 15, about 5:10 p.m. Tiffany M. Jadus, 20, of Shenandoah, was observed walking along SR924 in the area of W. Cherry St., in Shenandoah. Troopers knew that there was a warrant for her arrest and took her into custody without incident. Troopers said she was wanted by the county district attorney's office for failing to appear for a theft charge. She was placed in the county prison in Pottsville.
Also on Monday, about 8:15 p.m., troopers made a vehicle stop along SR54 in the village of William Penn, West Mahanoy Township, for traffic violations. Gregory J. Smith, 23, of Girardville, was identified as the driver. A check of records showed he was also wanted by the district attorney's office for failing to appear for a receiving stolen property charge.
Smith was taken into custody and placed in the county prison.
