Eleven first time offenders placed in probation program

Eleven first time offenders in criminal cases were placed in Carbon County's Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition (ARD) probation program on Thursday by Senior Judge Richard W. Webb.

If a person successfully completes all conditions of the program their record is wiped clean. However, if they fail to complete the program or are revoked, then the Commonwealth reserves the right to prosecute them on all pending charges. A person does not admit guilt in entering the program.

All were placed for one year, unless otherwise noted.

Those placed included:

Jeremy Edward Ahner, 22, of Lehighton, was placed on a charge of driving under the influence (DUI). He was arrested on Aug. 20, 2009, along SR2015 in Franklin Township. Given a test, the result was .16BAC.

He was ordered to pay $450 for the program, get a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow any recommendation for treatment, license suspended for 60 days and must render 16 hours of community service.

Angelea Nikkole Britton, 19, of Lehighton, was placed for six months on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. She was arrested on July 28, 2009, at S. Kittatinny and E. Lizard Creek roads, in East Penn Township. Police said she had a silver smoking device on her.

She was ordered to pay $350 for the program, get a D&A evaluation and render 15 hours of community service.

Christopher Paul Corradi, 30, of Middletown, Dauphin County, was placed on a charge of false indentification to law enforcement. He was arrested on Dec. 3, 2009, along Rock St., in Franklin Township.

He was ordered to pay $350 for the program and render 15 hours of community service.

Cory Graver, 21, Lehighton, was placed on a charge of DUI. He was arrested on Oct. 10, 2009, along Mauch Chunk St., in Mahoning Township. Given a test, the result was .12BAC.

He was ordered to pay $400 for the program, get a D&A evaluation, license suspended for 30 days and render 12 hours of community service.

Ricky Lee Green, 47, of Palmerton, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on Nov. 8, 2009, along Delaware Ave., in Palmerton. Given a test, the result was .25BAC.

He was ordered to pay $450 for the program, get a D&A evaluation and license suspended for 60 days.

Gregory Allen Herzog, 22, of Lehighton, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on Aug. 9, 2009, along Hazlewood Rd., in Lower Towamensing Township. Given a test, the result was .09BAC.

He was ordered to pay $350 for the program and get a D&A evaluation.

Joseph Gennaro Marino, 18, of Albrightsville, was placed on a charge of possession of a small amount of marijuana. He was arrested on June 30, 2009, along German Road at SR895, in East Penn Township.

He was ordered to pay $500 for the program, get a D&A evaluation and render 15 hours of community service.

Juliann Muffley, 45, of Walnutport, was placed in the program on a charge of access device fraud. She was arrested on Jan. 5, 2007, in Mahoning Township.

She was ordered to pay $350 for the program and render 15 hours of community service.

Larry Allen Schweibinz, 56, of Palmerton, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on Oct. 14, 2009, along Delaware Ave., in Pamerton. Given a test, the result was .25BAC.

He was ordered to pay $450 for the program, get a D&A evaluation, license suspended for 60 days and render three hours of community service per month while in the program.

Zachary Smith, 23, of Andreas, was placed for two years on a charge of crminal trespass. He was arrested on March 26, 2009, for an incident at the Country Inn in Franklin Township.

He was ordered to pay $400 for the program, get a D&A evaluation, no contact with the inn or its employees, and render 30 hours of community service.

Cathy Strohl, 36, of Lehighton, was placed on a DUI charge. She was arrested on Aug. 8, 2009, along Rock St., in Franklin Township. Given a test, the result was .11BAC.

She was ordered to pay $400 for the program, get a D&A evaluation and license suspended for 30 days.
