Local couple's grandson performed at Carnegie Hall

On Feb. 14, Ken and Marion Reid of Lehighton traveled to New York City to see their grandson, Sam Dixon of Granger, Indiana, perform to a full house at Carnegie Hall.

Sam and 75 members of the Penn High School Symphonic Choir participated in the Distinguished Concerts International production of "Carmina Burana" with other choral groups and professional musicians.

Sam is the son of Sally (Reid) and Dan Dixon of Granger, Indiana. They attended the concert also with Sam's younger sister, Audrey.

Other family members in attendance included: Sam's uncle, Mark Reid and his wife and son, Elizabeth and John Reid of North Andover, Mass.; his aunt, Mary (Reid) Piccone, her husband, Tony, and their children, Sofia and Nicholas Piccone of West Chester, Pa.; Jack and Ann Dixon of Waverly, Ohio, also Sam's grandparents.
