Inmate arrested at county prison

An inmate at the Carbon County prison in Nesquehoning was arrested this week.

Nesquehoning police Officer Timothy Wuttke was called to the prison on Monday, Feb. 8, for a prisoner, Joseph Flammia, 20, of 94 Buckhill Rd., Albrightsville, who was brought to the jail by state police on other criminal charges. During the processing of Flammia correctional officers found a baggie of suspected marijuana on him.

Wuttke will file charges of contraband, a felony 2, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors, against Flammia.

Flammia was arrested by troopers for various assault related offenses that occurred at his residence earlier in the day.
