Monroe man jailed for assault on dad

A Monroe County man was jailed on Thursday, Feb. 18, for allegedly assaulting his father.

Pocono Mountain Regional police responded to 1407 Ridge Road, Tobyhanna Township, about 9 a.m. to a report of a domestic dispute. On scene officers learned that William Badger Jr., 30, of Pocono Lake, had grabbed his father by the throat and assaulted him following a verbal confrontation.

Badger was taken into custody and arraigned before a district judge on charge of domestic assault. He was committed to the county prison in Snydersville in lieu of $15,000 bail.
