Service Electric stayed undefeated on the season with a 20-point victory, while Two King's Pizzeria needed a last second shot to keep its perfect record intact.
The two teams square off this Wednesday night (6:15 p.m.) with first-place on the line, as the Eastern Schuylkill Recreation Commission's winter basketball heads into the month of March.
Also, starting this Wednesday, and continuing for the reason of the season, all ESRC winter basketball league games will be held at the Tamaqua Area Athletic Center (at the Tamaqua Middle School).
Midas Touch Hair Salon-Schaeffer's Harley Davidson
In a battle of teams searching for their first victory, Schaeffer's Harley Davidson broke into the win column with a 57-47 victory over Midas Touch Hair Salon.
John Vadyak buried four three-pointers and led Schaeffer's with a game-high 24 points.
For Midas Touch Hair Salon, Mike Conley scored 17.
Joe's Place/Joey B's-Cuz-N-Joe's Place
Playing with a full roster for the first time all season, Cuz-N-Joe's Place notched their first win of the year with a 62-57 victory over Joe's Place/Joey B's.
Jon Veet (27 points, four treys) and Brandon DeCosmo (24 points, four treys) provided a lethal 1-2 punch scoring 51 of their team's 62 points.
Zach Tofany led Joe's Place with 20 points, while Travis Fink added 14.
University Legendz-Two King's Pizzeria
A Mike Yaworsky driving lay-up with four seconds remaining in the game broke a 56-56 tie and gave Two King's Pizzeria a 58-56 victory over University Legendz.
Two King's was led by Jon Scheuer's 20-point effort, while Damian Fritz tacked on 18.
For University Legendz, Matt Scarcella scored a game-high 23 points and Mike Murphy added four three-pointers and 16 points in the loss.

Blazosky Funeral Home-Service Electric
Service Electric ran its undefeated record to 4-0 on the season with a 53-33 victory over Matika's Lawn Care/Blazosky Funeral Home.
Josh McCabe paced Service Electric with 21 points (four treys) and Joe Schaeffer added 16 points (four treys).
Matika's Lawn Care, who struggled offensively all night, was led by Tom Miller's eight points.
