Don't limit EPA's ability to do job

Published March 04. 2010 05:00PM

Dear Editor:

I can not believe that Senator Casey has joined Senator Jay Rockefeller in working to inhibit the EPA ability to do it's job. Specifically to regulate the CO2 emissions of the nation's largest polluters through

directives of the Clean Air Act.

These Senators believe that Congress not the EPA should regulate emission standards. Give us a break! We all have seen Congress in action and frankly have little faith in their willingness and ability to accomplish anything other than presenting a sickening show of self-serving, small minded, partizan theater.

It is true that we need Congress to enact clean energy and climate legislation promptly, but they must not attempt to limit the EPA's ability to function under the Supreme Court ordered directives of the Clean Air Act.

Sincerely,

Robert Gebert
