Published February 10. 2010 05:00PM

State police at Schuylkill Haven reported investigating a one-vehicle crash about 12:29 a.m. today along SR209, near John's Diner, in East Norwegian Township.

Troopers said Jeff Hughes, 24, of Palo Alto, was driving a 2003 Ford Ranger pickup truck southbound when he lost control. The truck entered the northbound lane and went onto the east berm where it overturned down an embankment. The truck came to rest on its roof.

Hughes and his wife, Lisa, 23, both sustained minor head injuries but refused medical treatment, troopers said. The truck had to be towed from the scene.

Troopers also reported investigating a two-vehicle crash about 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 9, along Seltzer Road, in Norwegian Township. Troopers said Kelly Dranginis, 26, of Cumbola, was driving a 1993 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera eastbound when she had a seizure. The car went onto the east shoulder where the vehicle accelerated and traveled across the east and westbound lanes and hit a snow bank. The car then continued to travel into the parking lot of Holly's Food Store and crashed into a parked Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck.

Dranginis and a passenger in the parked truck, Crystal C. Lynn, 31, of Pottsville, were injured and taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center South, Pottsville, for treatment of minor injuries, troopers said. The parked truck is owned by Jeffrey L. Coleman, 47, of Reading, troopers added.

Troopers cited Dranginis for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
