Returning from deployment

Army National Guard Staff Sgt. John P. Strizak is returning to the U.S. after a deployment to Iraqi or Afghanistan in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom or Enduring Freedom, respectively.

The soldiers return to Fort Dix, N.J. for debriefing, evaluations and out-processing procedures before returning to their regularly assigned Army Reserve or National Guard units.

The sergeant served in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in the Iraq Theater of Operations.

Strizak, a helicopter mechanic, is a member of Company D, 104th General Support Aviation Battalion, based in Annville. He has seven years of military service.

He is the grandson of Rachel Strizak of Buck Mountain Road, Weatherly.

In 1991, he graduated from Weatherly High School.
