Theft of copper wire probed

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating the theft of copper wire from a Schuylkill County business site.

Troopers said about 120 feet of heavy gauge copper wire, commonly known as "Bologna cable" or "well wire" was removed from a well pump on the property of the White Pine Coal Company, located along New Mine's Road, in Reilly Township. The theft occurred sometime between Saturday, March 13, at 3 p.m. and Monday at 7 a.m.

Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at (570) 593-2000.
