Three sentenced to prison terms

Three people who previously had entered guilty pleas to criminal charges were sentenced by President Judge William E. Baldwin in Schuylkill County Court.

Kimberly Faith Aregood, 41, Schuylkill Haven, entered guilty pleas to two counts of delivery of a controlled substance fom her home at 223 Wild Cherry Road. She was sentenced to serve nine to 23 months in the county prison, pay $200 to the Substance Abuse Education (SAE) fund, $100 to the Criminal Justice Enhancement Account (CJEA), make restitution of $226 to the Bethlehem Regional Lab and $300 to the Schuylkill County Drug Task Force which brought the charges. She had pleaded guilty to the charges last December.

Hans C. Deibler, 22, Donaldson, Tremont Township, was sentenced to serve 72 hours to six months in the county prison. This sentence will commence at the expiration of a current sentence he is serviing under the Immediate Punishment Program (IPP) from Dauphin County.

The Schuylkill County sentence becomes effective March 19 at 5 p.m. after his time under electronic monitoring is completed. He must pay a fine of $1,000, $100 to the SAE fund, $50 to the CJEA, $60 to the Schuylkill Medical Center and a $50 per month supervision fee. His driver's license is suspended for 12 months.

On a charge careless driving he was fined $25 and for not wearing a selt belt fined $10 plus $100 in costs. Deibler was cited by Cpl. Rahn Richards, state police, when stopped on Dec. 15, 2007, in East Norwegian Township. He first was placed int he county's Accelerated Rehabilative Dispostion Program (ARD) by Judge Charles M. Miller but it was revoked and last December he pleaded guilty before Baldwin.

Ernest Harrod, 23, Philadelphia, was sentenced on a charge of delivery of a controlled substance in the 800 block on Mount Hope Avenue, Pottsville, in December 2008, was sentenced to serve 11 to 23 months in the county prison with credit for having served 192 days. He also must pay $100 to the SAE fund and court costs. He was cited by Capt. Richard Wojciechowski, Pottsville police. On a charge of giving false identification to police he was placed on probation for 12 months but it runs concurrent to the first sentence. Harrod had entered guilty pleas to the charges last Nov. 24.
