Palmerton historical commission offers program on artifacts

Mary Beth Beers, a member of the Palmerton Area Historical Society, will speak about Cataloging and Storing Historical Artifacts at the Wednesday, March 10, 7 p.m., meeting of the Towamensing Township Historical Commission. It will be held in the township municipal building on Stable Road which is off Route 209 just north of the Towamensing Elementary School.

Beers has worked as a volunteer for the historical society to record artifacts donated to the society and to prepare those objects and papers for storage. She will discuss the best way for people to preserve and protect family records and heirlooms.

There will be a question and answer session.

The public is invited to attend the program.
