Woman charged with assaults

A Luzerne County woman was jailed on Tuesday, Feb. 16, after she allegedly assaulted three police officers.

State police at Fern Ridge said Brenda Ann Wilson, 46, of White Haven, was brought to the barracks in Tobyhanna Township, Monroe County, about 4 p.m. by Kidder Township police officer Horace Woodside. Upon arrival she kicked Woodside in the leg. While being escorted into the barracks she also kicked Sgt. Castner on the arm and Trooper Sgarlat in the leg. Castner sustained a minor arm injury in the incident.

Wilson was arraigned before a district judge on charges of aggravated and simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment. She was committed to the county prison in Snydersville in lieu of bail.
