Schuylkill man dies in fire
A Schuylkill County man died in a fire that extensively damaged his home.
State police at Frackville said the body of Robert Zimmerman, 66, of 562 Coyote Drive, Lake Wynonah, Auburn, Wayne Township, was found after the fire was extinguished. The fire was discovered about 5:19 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 26.
An autopsy performed on Saturday determined Zimmerman died of smoke inhalation due to the fire. The fire originated in the cellar area of the home, troopers said. The cause is still under investigation.
