Board of health
The Tamaqua Board of Health held its March meeting with Randolph Gormley, Earl Boettger, James Gormley and Shirley Becker in attendance.
Health Enforcement Officer James Barron submitted his report for February. During the month, Barron made a general inspection at Freddy's Pub, prior to its opening. One home was posted as unfit for human habitation and he received and adjusted four complaints. The complaints were for one possible infestation, a rental unit without heat and two complaints concerning rubbish/trash.
Class of 2010
Parents of the Tamaqua Class of 2010 meet every Monday, at 7 p.m., on the third floor of the Elks Building, 301 W. Broad St. The group is involved in creating decorations for the annual all night party.
Parents of all class members are welcome to help.
SS. Peter and Paul
Stations of the Cross will be held on Wednesday, at 7 p.m., in SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Also on Wednesday, the choir will rehearse at 7:30 p.m.
The parish Holy Name Society will meet Thursday at 8 p.m. The meeting will be preceded by a Mass, which will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Notre Dame Club
The Notre Dame of Schuylkill County will meet March 14, at 5 p.m. The meeting will be held at Wayne's Hibernian House, Girardville.
